Hi, I’m Joel and I’m an English teacher from the United States. Right now I want to help you with your pronunciation for two different words.
The words “bear,” meaning the animal – like a grizzly bear or a polar bear. And the word “beer,” which is an alcoholic beverage. Now, this is a beer, the alcoholic beverage. Beer. And this is a bear, a teddy bear to be exact.
So, beer – beer - b-eer - eer. Bear. And then bear – bear – air - b-air. Bear. Beer, and bear. Beer… bear.
Okay, I hope that helps. I know that a lot of English students from other countries struggle with their pronunciation and that’s alright. If you think that you struggle with pronunciation, I can help you. I sell conversational English lessons on Skype. I can help you with your pronunciation, and I can help you to just sound a little bit more natural when you’re speaking.
Sometimes it’s hard for native English speakers to understand foreigners and that’s normal. And that just means you need to practice and improve your pronunciation. So, you can visit my website at http://worldenglishteacher.com to schedule some private lessons with me. And I’ll give you a 20 minute lesson for free – just to try them.
Alright, have a good day and remember – keep on practicing your English.
